How to use this site

The site has been designed to demonstrate the features of Request A Quote WordPress plugin starter edition. It will always have the latest version of Request A Quote WordPress plugin. You can use it to:

Get started with Request A Quote Pro

  1. Login to WordPress Dashboard as an admin
  2. Install “Request A Quote Pro” WordPress plugin
  3. Activate your license
  4. Customize default forms and create form pages
    1. Go to “Quote Settings” > Forms
    2. Click on “Request a quote”
    3. Drag and drop the fields you’d like to include in your RFQ form and make adjustments
    4. Save
    5. Go back to the Forms page by clicking on the menu link under “Quote Settings”
    6. Hover over the “Request a quote” form and click on the “Edit Settings” link
    7. Click on each tab and make modifications
    8. Save
    9. Go back to the Forms page by clicking on the menu link under “Quote Settings”
    10. Follow the same steps for the “Search Quotes” form. Please note that the search form”Settings” allows customization of the search results
    11. Go back to the Forms page by clicking on the menu link under “Quote Settings”
    12. Click on the “Copy” button corresponding to the “Request a quote” form to copy its shortcode
    13. Create a WordPress page and paste “Request a quote” form’s shortcode and Publish
    14. Go back to the Forms page by clicking on the menu link under “Quote Settings”
    15. Click on the “Copy” button corresponding to the “Search Quotes” form to copy its shortcode
    16. Create a WordPress page and paste the “Search Quotes” form’s shortcode and Publish
  5. Create custom fields
    1. Go to the “Custom Fields” page by clicking on the menu link under “Quote Settings”
    2. Create as many custom fields as you need. Please note custom fields can be used in your forms and are displayed in either Quote or Employee pages.
  6. Set up and customize notifications
    1. Go to the “Notifications” page by clicking on the menu link under “Quote Settings”
    2. Click on “Quote Receipts” header
    3. Enter email addresses to be notified, customize the email content to be sent to yourself and customers.”
    4. Click on “Assignee Notify” header
    5. Enter email addresses to be notified, customize the email content to be sent to your employees when they get assigned to a quote”
    6. Save
  7. Create Employees
    1. Go to “Quotes” > “All Employees” and create your Employee records. When finished, publish each record.
  8. Create custom shortcodes
    1. Go to the “Shortcodes” page by clicking on the menu link under “Quote Settings”
    2. Create as many shortcodes as you need to display your quotes on the frontend. Make sure to copy the shortcode and paste it to a WordPress page to use it
  9. Customize plugin settings
    1. Go to the “Settings” page by clicking on the menu link under “Quote Settings”
    2. Make the modifications you need by clicking on each tab
  10. Set up default widgets
    1. Go to the “Widgets” page by clicking on the menu link under “Appearance”
  11. Set up menu
    1. Go to the “Menu” page by clicking on the menu link under “Appearance”
    2. Drag and drop the RAQ pages to your menu locations and Save
